Lightning strike causes fire at school in League City, Clear Creek ISD officials say

LEAGUE CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- Officials say a lightning strike was the cause of a fire at a school in League City Sunday.

The Clear Creek ISD officials said the fire happened in the 2500 block of Webster Street at League City Intermediate School.

According to the district, lightning struck the roof of the school.

Minor damage was reported, and the fire will not impact school on Tuesday.
