Gas leak causes flames to erupt near Museum District, officials say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Firefighters are responding after a gas leak reportedly caused a fire near the Museum District Saturday.

Officials say the fire happened in the 1300 block of Ruth Street around 3 p.m.

CenterPoint told Eyewitness News they have crews en route to the scene.

The cause of the gas leak is unknown, and no injuries have been reported.

Houston fire officials are investigating the blaze.
