Woman charged with following apartment fire in north Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman is now charged with setting a fire that torched an apartment building in north Houston Tuesday night.

Firefighters told Eyewitness News on Tuesday that the fire an the Siena Courtyard Apartments was intentionally set.

Now officials say Amber Benjamin is in custody, arrested on an arson charge.

Police say Benjamin set the fire, trying to get back at her boyfriend by igniting his clothes.

Twenty families have been displaced by the fire. One person suffered smoke inhalation.
