Nintendo's much-anticipated mobile "Super Mario Run" is now available on Apple devices.

Within the app, users tap the screen to make Mario jump instead of using a controller. It marks a shift in Nintendo's strategy as the gaming industry moves past consoles and computers.

Users can play parts of the game for free and purchase unlimited access for $9.99.
