World War II vet reflects on wartime

While most of us will never know the vast array of emotion associated with war, those who are present on the front lines will carry it with them forever.

For local World War II veteran E. T. Clark, the memories he carried home with him - memories of devastation, victory, and of those who have been lost - are still as clear now as they were during the wartime.

On Tuesday, Dec. 9, Clark visited the members of the Cleveland Lions Club during their weekly luncheon, where he vividly described his time overseas as a young soldier fighting alongside others like him.

"I'm just proud to be here," said Clark, who admitted that he doesn't talk about his experiences often, but that makes him no less proud of what was accomplished by Allied Forces during World War I
