Worker rescued from Port of Houston after 50-feet fall

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A worker aboard a ship in the Port of Houston last night fell at least 50 feet into a cargo hole and suffered several injuries.

It happened around 10pm last night at Dock 20.

The Houston Fire Department's Rescue Team lifted the person to ground level where the patient was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital Medical Center via LifeFlight.

An Eyewitness News viewer submitted video of the scene at the dock.

The person's identity and condition is unknown at this time.
