A worker was killed last night after an explosion caused a large piece of metal to fall on top of him

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An investigation continues this morning at a northwest Houston company after an explosion led to an employee's death.

It happened around 8:30pm last night at the Madden Bolt Galvanizing Corporation in the 13,400 block of Hempstead.

Police say an explosion caused a large piece of metal to fall on top of employees. One person died, and there are no reports of anyone else injured.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

Back in 2013, another accident happened at this location. A worker was killed when he was run over by a forklift.
