GREENSBORO, NC (KTRK) -- A North Carolina woman is accused of selling a freezer full of her mother's remains to her neighbor, officials say.

The Greesnboro Police Department's Criminal Investigation Unit says that the unidentified woman sold the chest freezer to her neighbor on the 1700 block of B Holly Street at the beginning of May. On May 28, the buyer alerted authorities to the freezer's contents.

The coroner conducted an autopsy to confirm the woman's identity, noting that the death seemed natural and finding no signs of foul play.

According to a press release, "the body was intact and not dismembered in any way."

The Greensboro PD is conducting a felony investigation for Concealing or Failing to notify the death of a person.
