Woman, 21, killed in Conroe motorcycle wreck was deputy

CONROE, TX (KTRK) -- A woman killed in an overnight motorcycle wreck in Conroe was a sheriff's deputy, authorities with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office confirmed Thursday.

Conroe police say 21-year-old Catherine Breeding's motorcycle crashed around 3am at the intersection of the southbound feeder road and South Loop 336.

Breeding was thrown off the bike and pronounced dead at the scene; a male riding on the same motorcycle was transported to to Conroe Regional Medical Center in stable condition.

Police believe speed was a factor in the wreck but an investigation is ongoing.
