WILLIS, TX (KTRK) -- An early-morning carjacking in Willis left one teenager injured. And now three juvenile suspects are behind bars.

It all started at around 7:30am. A female student heading back to Willis High School after spring break was getting out of her car when someone asked to borrow her cell phone.

One of three juvenile suspects grabbed the phone and hit her across the face. Then, all three suspects jumped into her car and drove off.

Police in Shenandoah heard the call from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office that the suspects were heading down 45 and then the Hardy Toll Road. The suspects didn't realize they were being pursued by police and the toll road was already blocked until it was too late.

They were soon pulled over at the Hardy Toll and Riley Fuzzell Road and were arrested. The female juvenile victim is expected to recover.

All three juvenile suspects are now in jail in Conroe.

They will each be charged with a felony.
