Waller ISD teacher charged with online solicitation of minor

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A teacher in Waller ISD is charged with online solicitation of a minor.

According to court documents, Whit Mitchell sent sexually explicit messages to a 16-year-old girl who used to be a student at WC Schultz Junior High.

Her mother discovered the messages and called police.

The superintendent sent a letter to parents explaining Mitchell was arrested yesterday and immediately resigned from school.
