HUNTSVILLE, TX (KTRK) -- Walker County officials are hoping an autopsy will explain what happened to a woman who died while in their custody.

Officials say Symone Marshall was involved in a one-car accident back in April. An officer who responded to the scene arrested her after she gave him a fake name and he reportedly found drugs in her possession.

At the jail, the woman suffered a seizure, among other medical issues. She was transported to the hospital, where she died.

According to the Walker County Sheriff's Office, the woman showed no signs of trauma after the accident, and she and another person in the car with her had both refused to be transported to the hospital.

The Harris County Medical Examiner's Office is now conducting an autopsy to determine the woman's cause of death.

The Texas Rangers have been called to assist in the investigation.
