Equusearch volunteers are looking for 82-year-old Ervin Brittnacher

Volunteers are looking for an elderly man who went missing Friday.

Searchers are looking for Ervin Brittnacher, 82, in a 25-acre property along McFarland Road between Alvin and Friendswood.

"He left on foot as far as I know, pretty much, his truck is still here," Mark Brittnacher, the son of Ervin Brittnacher said.

Ervin Brittnacher suffers from Alzheimer's and dementia. His family says he is in urgent need of his medication. He was featured three years ago on an ABC-13 story when he karate chopped an intruder armed with a rifle who broke into his home.

Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
