Florida officer dragged during traffic stop
Florida police sergeant Kerstan Tatro got a lot more than he bargained for when he pulled a driver over.

GULF BREEZE, FL -- A Florida police sergeant is in the hospital after being dragged by a driver during a traffic stop, reports WALA. The sergeant's own daughter just happened to drive by the scene moments after all it happened.

Dash cam video shows Sergeant Kerstan Tatro pulling over a driver for speeding. Suddenly, the driver took off, nearly running him over.

As eyewitnesses stopped to help, the sergeant's teenage daughter happened to pass by. She stopped and broke down in tears when she realized it was her father on the ground.

"You go to work every night and they say 'Be careful' and I say, 'I promise I'll be careful. I'll be home,'" said Sgt. Tatro. "That's a promise I gotta keep."

The driver was arrested soon after. She's accused of driving under the influence of drugs. The sergeant is expected to recover.
