Authorities are asking for the public?s help to find a man they say stole a tablet at a cell phone store

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities are asking for the public's help to find a man they say stole a tablet out of an employee's hand at a cell phone store back in February in northeast Houston.

The theft happened on February 19 in the 10000 block of Eastex Freeway around 1:45pm. Deputies say a female employee at that store told them a man asked to see a tablet she was holding and she declined to let him see it, so he grabbed it out of her hand and ran out of the store. He was seen getting away in a small white four-door vehicle.

In the video, the suspect can be seen approaching the employee and apparently take the tablet, sending the female employee reeling onto the store floor.

If you have any information about this crime, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
