HOLLYWOOD, CA -- A brawl between two drivers apparently fueled by road rage was all caught on camera. Police are seeking the public's help to get more information.

A passerby, who wished to remain anonymous, shot the footage on Monday. The witness said he was driving in Hollywood when he saw the fight unfold.

According to the witness, it all started when the 101 Freeway was backed up at around 9:30 a.m.

The witness said two men in separate cars were screaming at each other for about 10 minutes. Then, when they got to Highland Avenue near Hollywood High School, one of the men leaned out of his window and punched the other driver's car door. That's when both men got out of their vehicles and began to throw punches.

At one point, one of the men almost fell right in the path of an oncoming van.

"One guy went into the suicide lane and just passed the other guy, and that guy didn't see him. So they were jockeying for position coming down Highland," the man told Eyewitness News in a phone interview. "You see people yelling at each other and honking at each other, but you never see them just go fisticuffs in the middle of the street. It was definitely the epitome of road rage."

The LAPD said a Department of Transportation officer witnessed the incident but wasn't able to get the license plates.

So far, neither man has filed a complaint. Police still want anyone with information to come forward.
