A woman was hurt when a van slammed into a gas station in Baytown.

BAYTOWN, TX (KTRK) -- Baytown police tell us a man in his mid-70s in a van drove straight through the front glass wall of the Chevron at Main and Massey Thompkins around 2:30pm Thursday.

He hit a woman standing at the ATM at that very moment and she ended up with, amazingly, only minor injuries. The clerk rushed to help her.

"I'm hearing a woman say help," says Dee Rocha. "I thought, oh my God... I said I've got an ambulance on the way."

The woman had only scrapes and bruises. The man was not seriously injured and believe perhaps the man confused the gas and brake pedal.
