HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two people are dead in a workplace murder-suicide shooting inside a southwest Houston grocery store, according to police.

It happened at the Hong Kong Food Market at 11205 Bellaire Boulevard shortly before 1pm.

The gunfire sent customers and staff running out of the store.

An employee who witnessed the whole thing was visibly shaken and didn't want to show his face on camera, but he told Eyewitness News that the shooter went into an employee bathroom, and looked upset when he came out. The witness said that employee then pointed the gun at the manager and he shot him. Once he was dead, the gunman started walking towards the produce doors, then he shot himself.

Police say the shooter used a 50 caliber handgun. They also say that both men are Asian and in their mid-to-late 30's.

Police say they are still working to determine a motive in the case.
