Train falls from overpass
Houston Fire Department officials say nobody was hurt in the accident

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Heavy equipment and machinery have moved in to remove the rail cars that fell onto Old Katy Road Thursday morning.

The two rail cars were carrying soybeans and plastic pellets.

The train operated by Kansas City Southern Railway was an 84 car train traveling from Beaumont to Kendleton, Texas.

However, the track is operated and maintained by Union Pacific.

Investigators just obtained two data recorders and videotape from inside the train to figure out what went wrong.

They will also be looking through safety and maintenance records of the train and track. The track is operated by Union Pacific.

Nobody was injured during the derailment.
