Police say burglars used a vehicle to smash a large hold in the side of a store so they could steal the safe inside

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Thieves made their own entrance to a clothing store in order to gain access to the safe.

It happened around 3:17am this morning at the Citi Trends clothing store on Imperial Valley at Greens.

Police say the suspects used a vehicle to smash a hole through the wall of the store. They then went inside and made off with the store's safe.

Police say the impact of the crash damaged the store's surveillance video system, so there is no video of the thieves in action.

The store's manager is taking inventory now to see if anything else is missing.
