Thieves slam truck into gas station in NW Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Thieves left behind a big mess after an attempted smash and grab in northwest Houston.

The would-be burglars used a pickup truck to smash into the front of a gas station at West Rd., and Veterans Memorial Dr., in an attempt to steal an ATM machine.

The thieves ran when they were unable to move the machine.
