Teen found with gunshot wounds in Rosenberg parking lot dies

ROSENBERG, TX (KTRK) -- A 19-year-old is dead after he was found with two gunshot wounds in a Rosenberg parking lot Friday night.

Rosenberg police responding to a call about a shooting found Ladontia Jones, 19, in the parking lot of 5200 Avenue I.

Jones died later at OakBend Hospital.

Rosenberg police say the shooting is said to have happened in the 1600 block of Village Court Lane. Police say they don't yet know what led to the shooting, but detectives say preliminary information leads them to think drugs were involved.

No information on a suspect was released.
