Beach City teen accused of killing grandparents to remain in custody

CHAMBERS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A 14-year-old accused of killing his grandparents in Beach City will remain in custody for now.

The teen is facing capital murder charges in the deaths of Chester and Sandra Bienek.

The couple, both 72-years-old, were found shot to death in their bed on October 18.

But police believe they were actually killed two days earlier.

Authorities have yet to offer a motive for the killings.

At a detention hearing for the grandson this week, the judge ruled the teen must remain at a juvenile facility in Hardin County.

No trial date has been set.
