SWAT called for man firing rounds into the air on apartment balcony

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Harris County Sheriff's Office says an armed suspect was barricaded in an apartment complex early Sunday morning.

Seton Chase apartment homes were evacuated as SWAT worked the scene.

The man was on his apartment balcony and had fired several rounds from a handgun in the air.

Deputies arrived and heard several more rounds as they were driving into the complex.

HSCO says that the standoff has ended when the man surrendered without incident.

He is facing a deadly conduct charge and will be transported to the Harris County Sheriff's Office detention facility.
