SUV slams into southwest Houston apartment building
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston firefighters responded to reports of an SUV that slammed into the side of an apartment building.
This happened after 5:00am this morning at an apartment complex on Bellerive Drive at Bonhomme Road in southwest Houston.
Video from Skyeye HD showed extensive damage to a ground level apartment unit.
Police say the driver of the SUV is a pregnant woman who accidentally drove into the side of the building. The damage was to her unit.
The woman was shaken up but is otherwise okay.
Emergency crews who responded to the scene did briefly evacuate the apartment complex so they could check for structural damage. They say the building is safe for people to return home.
