HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A survivor from a four-car crash on Antoine at the Beltway says he was in his car with his two children coming from football practice when the crash happened.

Around 8:30pm Tuesday, three cars were mangled together. A fourth also was hit in the accident.

Sheriff's deputies say a teen and his mother riding in a Chevy Tahoe were killed, the father and brother survived.

Aldine ISD says the teen attended Davis High School and was a sophomore. He's described as quiet, athletic and active in ROTC.

Investigators say the 17-year-old driver of a Dodge pickup truck ran a red light, striking the SUV. The SUV rotated and hit Christopher Walter's car. Walters says he reached back to his children in the back of the car. They were all OK and he jumped out to help.

"I ran to my car, I had a knife in there. We cut his other son out. As we cut him out, I could see he wasn't responsive. We pulled him out through the back of the SUV through the window we kicked out. We got him to the median and from there he was unresponsive," says Walter.

The survivor says he would like to meet the survivors who were at the scene. He also credits another father and son who were driving by and stopped to help.
