Stabbing suspect sought in homeless man's murder in west Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Homicide detectives are trying to find a stabbing suspect who escaped on a bicycle after a murder near the Galleria area in west Houston last night.

Witnesses say a homeless man got into an argument with the suspect outside a gas station on Westheimer near Hullsmith around midnight.

Police say the suspect stabbed the victim twice then fled.

The victim is well known at the station and may have been camping near the store.

Police say they hope surveillance video will give them more information on the killer.

The investigation is ongoing.
