Shoplifters with luxury taste pocket more than $5K from Galleria-area store

Shoplifters are said to have pocketed some $5,000 worth of luxury merchandise back in November

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston Police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help to catch four men who they say shoplifted several luxury items from a store in The Galleria area back in November.

The theft, according to authorities, happened on November 26, 2014, in the 5000 block of Westheimer. Store employees say two men distracted an employee while two others looked at a sunglasses display. One of them, an employee told police, stuffed a pair of glasses in his jacket pocket.

Police say the same man then went into a dressing room with two jackets and came out with only one. Authorities add surveillance footage shows the man hid the jacket under the one he wore into the store.

The men subsequently walked out of the store with more than $5,000 in merchandise they hadn't purchased, police say.

Here are the descriptions of each suspect:

Suspect #1 is described as a white male with a goatee and black hair, between the ages of 25 and 35, approximately 5'8" tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket.

Suspect #2 is described as a white male with black hair, between the ages of 20 and 30, standing approximately 5'8" tall and 250 pounds.

Suspect #3 is described as a white male with black hair, between the ages of 20-30, standing approximately 5'8" tall and 175 pounds.

Suspect #4 is described as a white male with black hair, between the ages of 20-30, standing approximately 5'8" tall and 175 pounds.
