SE Texas cleans up after weekend of inclement weather
Schools and communities across the abc13 viewing area are cleaning up after plenty of rain and a few tornadoes.

In Liberty County, emergency officials warned the public the Trinity River could create flooding conditions this week.

They're asking anyone who lives and around the body of water to make preparations. Public safety experts predict the river will rise as more rain water makes its way south.

The water, blanketing the area, forced the Hardin Independent School District to push back the start of school by an hour. School officials also told abc13 buses will be delayed by an hour.

La Porte ISD has cancelled classes for today only district wide. Jennie Reid Elementary School is also closed tomorrow and possibly on Wednesday. (That has yet to be determined.) Tap here for the district's complete release, including information about Head Start and ACE schedules.

Clear Creak ISD also cancelled classes at Greene Elementary because of this weekend's storms.
