Several people hurt in Atascocita chain-reaction crash

ATASCOCITA, TX (KTRK) -- Several people, including some young children, are in the hospital after a chain reaction crash in Atascocita last night.

Deputies tell us around 9:45pm a car carrying a group of people lost control and hit another car on Atascocita Road at Blackstone Trial Drive.

That car flipped and crashed into a third vehicle carrying a father and his two children -- a teenager and a 3-year-old.

Officials tell us the people in the other vehicles range in age from 8 to 18 years old.

Everyone is expected to be OK.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
