Crime Stoppers and Houston police are asking for the public's help to find a man who robbed a southwest Houston business.

SOUTHSIDE PLACE, TX (KTRK) -- Crime Stoppers and Houston police are searching for a man caught on surveillance video who robbed a woman at gunpoint at a southwest Houston business in June. But authorities are sharing now that he has a particular scent: pot.

The suspect in the robbery is described as a dark-skinned black male, about 25 years of age, 5'8" tall with an average build, wearing a red and gray striped hoodie with dark military style pants. Police say the suspect "had an overpowering odor of burnt marijuana about his person."

Police say the robbery happened on June 1 around 12:45pm in the 4000 block of Bellaire Boulevard. The man approached the woman with a small caliber semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from both of the store's registers. He also took her purse and phone.

Police say the suspect drove a mid-sized four-door automobile that left the scene immediately after the robbery. The man is believed to have been alone in the vehicle, and was last seen driving southbound on Stella Link from Bellaire Blvd.
