Two teens found themselves in the middle of an overnight home invasion in Cinco Ranch

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston Transtar cameras captured dramatic moments deputies pursued two robbery suspects on the Southwest Freeway and now we're learning more about what those men allegedly stole before the chase.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office says the two suspects stole thousands of dollars' worth of jewelry from a home in the Cinco Ranch area. They broke in while the family's children were inside.

The chase went from Katy all the way to southwest Houston.

"Just ran into my house with guns," said one of the two teens, who we're not identifying for safety reasons. "He started searching throughout the house. We were just like, 'What are you doing? We were like on the floor with our hands up. We were scared. We didn't know what to do."

The girl told me the two men stole her mother's safe filled with expensive jewelry. She said her dad is out of the country and a nanny was watching them.

"This has never happened, like this is a nice neighborhood," said the other teen. "I have good friends, like I don't think anyone's just gonna come to my house and be like, 'Oh, I'm robbing you.'"

Luckily none of the girls were hurt.

Police caught one of the suspects hiding in an apartment complex in southwest Houston. The other is still on the loose.

"Deputies were able to locate the suspect's vehicle," said Lt. Michael Fischer with the Ft. Bend County Sheriff's Office. "We attempted to stop them. They fled. We chased them here; suspects crashed out, bailed out on foot. Currently we have one in custody, and we're still actively looking for one."

The teenagers say they didn't recognize the two robbers. They hope the one still on the loose is caught soon.
