Police searching for 2 men accused in Illinois murder

FREEPORT, IL (KTRK) -- Police are searching for two men suspected in the murder of a 22-year-old man last Thursday in Freeport, Illinois.

Freeport police say warrants are issued for the arrest of Earl R. Fane, 23, and Bryan J. Ulmer, 21, suspected in the shooting death of William L. Hines. They are both charged with first-degree murder, robbery, conspiracy, and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

Hines was shot last week in the 600 block of East Crocker Street in Freeport.

Police warn Fane and Ulmer may be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
