Police: Robbers pistol whip clerk in Sugar Land

SUGAR LAND, Texas (KTRK) -- Sugar Land police are looking for a pair of men who pistol whipped a store clerk early this morning.

It happened at a Shell gas station on Highway 6 near the Southwest Freeway.

Investigators may be able to figure out who did this by looking at the security camera video of the robbery.

Police officers tell us that two men came into the store around 1:15 a.m., and went right for the cash register.

One suspect hit the store clerk with a pistol while the other one took the money from the register.

Both men then left the store. The clerk was taken to the hospital and we are told he is going to be okay.

Sugar Land police are now getting a copy of the security camera video of the robbery, hoping to use that to track down the men who did this.
