Yesterday, we showed you surveillance video of someone stealing an iPad from a toddler in northeast Houston. Now, we've learned there's been an arrest. The suspect was turned in by his own mother.

Surveillance video from the April 19 incident shows a male in the parking lot of a washateria in the 8600 block of Tidwell. It shows him grabbing an iPad from a 2-year-old boy and knocking him over in the process.

The child suffered minor bumps and bruises from the robbery.

The suspect's mother saw the video on television, realized it was her 16-year-old son and turned him in.

Investigators say the teen, whose name isn't being released, confessed.
