Dressed in costumes from spooky to sweet, kids at the Houston Zoo's Zoo Boo event were out in droves today ahead of this weekend's weather with their parents.

Kids checked out the pumpkin patch, traversed a maze with questions about wildlife, threw bean bags and, of course, dipped into the candy cave for some sweet treats ahead of Halloween.

Houston Zoo's Zoo Boo event is held for three weekends in October. Your last chance to take part is this weekend. There's no separate ticket for Zoo Boo; all activities are included with your paid zoo admission.
