Pasadena woman confronts alleged robber, leads to arrest

PASADENA, TX (KTRK) -- It's a video that proves the power of social media, as a man is under arrest after a cellphone video of an alleged crime went viral.

A Pasadena woman, Cynthia Selgado, shot the cellphone video.

Selgado says the man had just broken into her van.

The video shows that he wouldn't stop, even after she tried to grab her belongings from him.

No neighbors came when she called for help but a friend, Leslie Hinojosa, posted the video to social media for her.

"Cynthia is a very hard worker and that's why she was fighting for the little that she does have and it's sad that nobody helped her," said Hinojosa.

A relative of the man saw the video online, leading to the arrest.
