Three suspects are on the run after shooting one customer and pistol whipping another during a robbery in north Harris County

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Those three suspects are still on the run right now. They were seen heading south from this convenience store.

Three suspects are on the run after shooting one customer and pistol whipping another during a robbery in north Harris County.

Investigators say just after 7pm, the two armed men came to a convenience store in the 1200 block of West Airtex.

Investigators say one of the suspects pistol whipped a 42-year-old customer and then shot a 60-year-old customer in the stomach before running off with two other suspects.

The customer who was shot in the stomach was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital. Investigators say he's not doing too well right now.

This incident caught on surveillance video, but investigators aren't yet releasing it.

Residents in this area are being asked to make sure their doors are locked. Don't open your door to any strangers.

Investigators say the shooter was wearing a blue hat with a red bill, a gray shirt and black or blue pants. The second suspect was wearing a white shirt and black short, while the third suspect's description is still unknown.

Detectives are asking residents in the area to report any suspicious activity.
