HOUSTON (KTRK) -- One person is dead and another injured after three armed suspects tried to rob a car stereo shop in northwest Houston.
It happened just before 8pm last night at a store in the 7900 block of Antoine Drive at West Gulf Bank Road.
Police say three men armed with handguns tried robbing the shop and then started shooting, striking two employees.
Abdullah Shakur, 65, was taken by ambulance to Ben Taub Hospital, where he died from a gunshot wound. The wounded victim, Samer Salem, 32, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was listed as stable. His injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.
All three suspects got away in a silver or light blue early 2000's model Ford Mustang. Police believe one of the suspects was possibly hit by "friendly fire" and may be wounded somewhere on his body.
