Nurse violently carjacked at Woman's Hospital of Texas parking lot

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Woman's Hospital of Texas is increasing security patrols Monday after a nurse was carjacked in the employee parking lot.

The incident happened around 4 am Monday morning at 7600 Fannin Street.

Susan Grant, 63, was pulling into the employee parking lot behind the Woman's Hospital of Texas when a man with a gun pistol whipped her and stole her Toyota RAV 4.

Grant was treated at the ER for cuts and bruises on her face. Grant told Eyewitness News she is grateful her injuries are not worse than they are.

The Houston Police Department is investigating the crime. They have not yet identified a suspect.
