No more using electronics behind the wheel in Deer Park

Starting this week in Deer Park, if you're caught texting and driving or using any electronic device behind the wheel, you will be pulled over.

That's because a new ordinance that was passed over the summer begins October 1. For a month, drivers will get warnings, but starting in November 1, drivers will receive tickets.

The fine could be up to $200.

Drivers can still use a hands-free device.
