Crews arrived to the home on Mosher Lane and Valley Stream, and found heavy flames coming from the one-story house.

Incredible eyewitness video shows just how intense this fire was, so big in fact you could see it all the way to I-45 North on the Transtar jam cams.

Neighbors were even closer to the danger. Christina Lopez shared dramatic video of the fire with Eyewitness News, and said you could feel the heat coming from across the street.

She said the squatters moved in months ago, and she's been trying to get the city to do something about it for awhile.

She said yesterday her newest neighbors were burning trash on the property.

Crews say an abandoned home caught fire overnight on Mosher Lane.

This morning, she said she saw several of the squatters just walking away after the fire erupted.

"I'm hurt," Lopez said. "It's very saddening because it's really close to home. What if the fire would've spread next door? That's a family that lives there."

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. Arson investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire.
