HOUSTON -- Authorities are investigating a home invasion in Spring, where a man was allegedly tied up in his own home.

It happened around 5pm at a home in the 17000 block of Colony Stream Drive.

Hannah Vu, the sister-in-law of the victim, told Eyewitness News that her brother-in-law is being treated at a local hospital. She said her sister came home to find her husband tied up and beaten.

Neighbors say the man had just gotten home from the bank. They speculate he might've been followed.

Harris County Sheriff's Office detectives would not comment on camera, but told us they are investigating this as a home invasion.

Investigator say it is unclear at this point whether anything was taken, but neighbors believe the trip to the bank may have led to this crime.

The man is not believed to be seriously hurt.
