Mom allegedly tried to drown kids, court documents say
New court documents shed light on how a Houston mother allegedly attempted to drown her children.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman is charged with endangering a child after she tried to drown a young child in a bathtub, according to law enforcement sources.

The alleged incident happened in the 8000 block of Wilcrest Drive.

Joshlyn Guy allegedly duct taped the hands and mouths of three children, ages 5, 6 and 7. She then drew a bath and tried to drown the youngest girl in the bathtub, according to law enforcement sources. Guy allegedly told the children, "You're going to meet God."

Law enforcement sources tell Eyewitness News the child fought and screamed until another adult stopped Guy and told the children to run away.

All three children are in the custody of Child Protective Services and are unharmed, according to CPS spokeswoman Tiffani Butler. Butler said the alleged incident happened in October 2016.
