Missing girl dies after being found in car in Central Texas

TEMPLE, TX -- A 2-year-old girl who had been reported missing has died a day after being found in a car in Central Texas.

Police in Temple say officers were responding to a call of a missing girl on Sunday when they found the child inside a vehicle.

Police say the girl had been in the car for at least an hour before she was found.

The girl was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Temple Police are continuing their investigation into the girl's death.
