Massive fire rips through northeast Houston nightclub

Firefighters worked to put out a massive fire at a nightclub in northeast Harris County.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A northeast Harris County night club is a total lose after it goes up in flames.

It happened around 2:00am at Las Nenas nightclub. This is in the 11,000 block of Aldine Westfield at July.

When fire crew arrived, there was heavy fire coming from the building, causing the roof to collapse.

Several other fire departments, including Eastex, Aldine and Little York, were called out to help put out the flames. Some 60 fire fighters were on the scene at one point.

It took an hour to get it under control. Hours later crews are still tackling hot spots.

The club was not open at the time.

Fire officials say no one was injured. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
