HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Investigators are looking into a possible case of DWI after the driver of a truck flipped several times and crashed off the South Loop near Kirby.

The accident happened this morning when an eyewitness said the driver of the white Chevy truck was speeding about 100 mph, lost control, hit a curb, went airborne, hit a highway light pole and flipped several times.

The male driver, who police say was not wearing a seat belt, and female passenger were sent to Memorial Hermann Hospital where they are in stable condition. Police say the woman had to be cut out of the truck.
