Man surrenders after holding his child, another adult hostage near Hobby Airport

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A hostage situation came to an end after nearly four hours on Tuesday in southeast Houston.

Houston Police Department's SWAT and hostage negotiation teams were on the scene at the complex in the 9400 block of Grannis Street near Hobby Airport.

Police said the male suspect had barricaded himself with his child and another adult inside the apartment just before 6 p.m.

The SWAT standoff ended just before 10 p.m.
