Man sleeping in north Houston parking lot shot, killed

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was shot and killed last night in a business parking lot in north Houston.

Police say the man is known to sleep on the sidewalk outside the business in the 9500 block of Jensen. Police say he was there when group of three to five men drove up and started shooting at him around 11:10pm.

The suspects fled after firing shots at the man. Police say they drove a white, four-door vehicle in a 1995 to 2005 model with a black hood and black back bumper.

Authorities say several witnesses attempted to follow their car, but stopped when the gunmen started firing shots at them.

The man on the sidewalk died at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital.

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call HPD Homicide or Crime Stoppers.
