Man shot twice in chest during carjacking

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The search is on for several suspects who shot a man twice in the chest during a car-jacking.

It happened just before 1:00am this morning in the 11500 block of Roandale near Kennedy Heights in southeast Houston.

According to police, several masked suspects were trying to break into a vehicle when they shot the male victim twice in the chest. The suspects then took off in a black Impala.

There is no word on if that vehicle belonged to the victim or was taken from someone else.

The victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in unknown condition.
